Black Strobe Live! @ Cargo June 14th

Morning, afternoon and evening to you all,

As Black Strobe gear up for the release of their debut album, ‘Burn Your Own Church’, we are incredibly happy to announce the confirmation of the bands first mid-week, early evening live show. June the 14th is the date and London’s Cargo is the venue. Ulterior will support the band and Skull Juice DJs will hold court for the mass of revellers happy to celebrate the release of the bands ‘I’m A Man’ single on the 11th and anticipating the release of the debut album on the 18th. There will be a second support band, who we are yet to confirm. Tickets are available [here] .

Details of the bands next single have finally been announced. ‘I’m A Man’ comes out on June 11th. The second track from the debut album is a cover of a Bo Diddley song and a firm live favourite. You probably all know it well from the live show, but if you need to familiarise yourselves then go to the bands [MySpace] where you can hear this track along side an intense B-side called Pins and Needles.

The single will be available on 7”, 12” and download with an exclusive DJ version available on Beatport and through the band’s mailing list. Remixes come from Black Strobe and Audion, whose ‘Dontation’ mix is being caned by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Damian Lazarus, James Lavelle et al. Audion finished the mix just before WMC 2007 and dropped it several times out there, which naturally caused quite a stir with the DJ community. In the following weeks both Audion and Black Strobe received a raft of inquires and MP3 requests from their DJ/Producer peers and now the track is being dropped everywhere. The 12” will be super limited so keep an eye out.

To celebrate all of the above Black Strobe have launched a video cast which you can subscribe to through iTunes by clicking [here]. The first video cast is available now and its a short interview with Arnaud on the set for the video to ‘I’m A Man’ talking about the concept and the shoot and of course the single and the album.

Go and check the bands MySpace and keep checking back here for details on all of the above, links to the new audio casts, video casts etc. and general window licking!

Until Next time.
